Digital perm or cold perm: how to choose
Both add lasting shape and movement, but they work differently. A quick guide to the two perms on our menu, and what to mention at your consultation.
Korean-style perms are less about tight curls and more about soft movement, volume, and hair that is easier to style every morning. At LEMI we offer two main types, and the right one depends on your hair, your length, and the look you want.
Digital perm
A digital perm uses controlled heat to set the shape. It tends to give soft, loose waves and curls that look their best once your hair is dry, which keeps everyday styling quick. Plan for a longer appointment: about three and a half to four hours.
Cold perm
A cold perm sets the shape without heat. It works well on shorter lengths, from bobs to men's styles, and for looks with more defined texture, like a hippie perm. Plan for about three to three and a half hours.
Not sure which is right for you?
That is what the consultation is for. Beautiful hair starts with understanding your lifestyle, your hair history, and your goals, so it helps to mention:
- Any color, bleach, or straightening in the past year
- How much time you usually spend styling
- Photos of looks you love
Short and cold perms with Lena include a haircut. See the Hair menu for every length and price.
